Movie is very good. My rating 3.75/5.
Story: Its about Balu and Mahalaxmi. Balu is pretty egocentric coz he tops everything he does. He wants to be number 1 at everything and he cant bear it if neone beats him. Mahalaxmi (his cousin) enters his life at this juncture and the story is all about how balu changes his ways and accepts the love of Mahalaxmi.
Performances: Naga Chaitanya is pretty decent as balu. I have no complaints about him in 1st half even though he cant dance a penny's worth :p. Lucky for him all the songs goes along with the story. In 1st song he dances a bit and we can skip it :p. My only complaint about him is his performance in sentimental scenes ... especially the scene where he confesses his love to Tamanna. If only he convinced me there I'd have given him full marks. Anyways overall pretty decent performance. Still i cant get used to his face.
Tamanna is verrrry good as Mahalaxmi. Her character has two shades as a "girl just came to city from village" and a "girl used to city life". She is very hot in some scenes:mirapakayi:. Navel ni baaga vadukunnadu. Performance wise kuda nagachaitanya ni dominate chesindi :). Even her character is also etched nicely and she did complete justice to her character.
This movie completely revolves around these two main characters. So migathavallu valla valla pathrala paridhi meraku bagane chesaru. Dharmavarapu comedy bagundi :). Kani papam Ajith character ni VP ni chesesaru :p :rolleyes:
Technical Deps: Veeti gurinchi no complaints watsoever from me. Editing, Screenplay, Costumes, Music by Devi,Choreography ( pedda panem ledule ).. anni movie ki chakkaga amaripoyayi. 1st song picturization bagundi. Kudos to the vfx team and choreo there.
Director: Sukumar has become very good at etching his Hero's characters. I think he takes any normal human trait and "amplifies" it and then he spins the story around this. we saw the same in Jagadam, Arya and Arya 2. We will see the same here. The trait here is Ego. Anyways his direction is very good especially 1st half. He shuld have handled the 2nd half a little better. Tempo goes down a bit after the breezy 1st half. IMO this is the main drawback for the movie.
Final verdict: As i said overall movie is very good. 1st half breezy. 2nd half tempo goes down a bit but still Pretty decent. Tamanna is hot and Nagachaitanya shuld improve his dictions in senti scenes. There are few unbelievable silly things like how a village telugu medium girl becomes expert in english and suddenly tops in just a few months and how an Engg college has so many exams every month etc. Still u wont care about these things while watching the movie ;). Over all dont miss it :)
